Bismill\u0101hi r-Ra\u1e25m\u0101ni r-Ra\u1e25\u012bm<\/strong>
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u1e62al\u00e2t al-F\u00e2tihi (translated)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

O Allah, send blessings upon our master Muhammad,
the Opener of what was closed,
the Seal of what came before,
the Helper of the Truth by the Truth,
and the Guide to Your straight path.
And upon his family,
according to his immense worth and the greatness of his rank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you wish to follow the path that leads to Allah, be disciplined and obedient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allah \u2014 Exalted is He \u2014 says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200e\u00a0\u0642\u064f\u0644\u0652 \u0625\u0650\u0646\u0652 \u0643\u064f\u0646\u0652\u062a\u064f\u0645\u0652 \u062a\u064f\u062d\u0650\u0628\u064f\u0651\u0648\u0646\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0647\u064e \u0641\u064e\u0627\u062a\u064e\u0651\u0628\u0650\u0639\u064f\u0648\u0646\u0650\u064a \u064a\u064f\u062d\u0652\u0628\u0650\u0628\u0652\u0643\u064f\u0645\u064f \u0627\u0644\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0647\u064f \u0648\u064e\u064a\u064e\u063a\u0652\u0641\u0650\u0631\u0652 \u0644\u064e\u0643\u064f\u0645\u0652 \u0630\u064f\u0646\u064f\u0648\u0628\u064e\u0643\u064f\u0645\u0652 \u06d7 \u0648\u064e\u0627\u0644\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0647\u064f \u063a\u064e\u0641\u064f\u0648\u0631\u064c \u0631\u064e\u062d\u0650\u064a\u0645\u064c<\/strong>
\u201cSay: If you truly love Allah, then follow me;
Allah will love you and forgive your sins.\u201d<\/em>
(\u0100l \u02bfImr\u0101n, 3:31)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Our beloved master, Seyyidin\u0101 Shaykh A\u1e25mad Tij\u0101n\u012b<\/strong> (may Allah sanctify his precious secret)<\/em>, used to say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cO you who seek the path to the Beloved\u2026
Know that among the signs of sincere love is the earnest pursuit of His pleasure, conformity to His commands, avoidance of His prohibitions, and adherence to His words and actions through the example of His Beloved, Muhammad \ufdfa.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Seyyidin\u0101 Shaykh Tij\u0101n\u012b also said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cAll goodness lies in following the Sunnah.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

And he often recited this poem:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

You disobey God while claiming to love Him?
This is indeed a most strange contradiction!
If your love were genuine, you would obey Him,
for the lover naturally obeys the one he loves.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The revelations concerning rib\u0101<\/strong> came gradually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allah says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cWhatever rib\u0101 you give so that it may increase in people\u2019s wealth does not increase with Allah.\u201d<\/em>
(Ar-R\u016bm, 30:39)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

He says regarding the People of the Book:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cAnd because of their practice of rib\u0101, though they had been forbidden from it\u2026\u201d<\/em>
(An-Nis\u0101\u02be, 4:161)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Then:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cO believers! Do not consume interest, multiplying it many times over.\u201d<\/em>
(\u0100l \u02bfImr\u0101n, 3:130)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the total prohibition was revealed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cAllah has permitted trade and forbidden rib\u0101.\u201d<\/em>
\u201cAnd if you do not desist, then be informed of a war from Allah and His Messenger.\u201d<\/em>
(Al-Baqarah, 2:275\u2013279)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Prophet \ufdfa said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cThe Messenger of Allah \ufdfa cursed the one who consumes rib\u0101, the one who gives it, the one who records it, and the witnesses to it. They are all the same.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

He also said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cOne dirham of rib\u0101 knowingly consumed is more grievous before Allah than thirty-six acts of fornication.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

And he said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cRib\u0101 has seventy degrees, the least of which is like a man committing incest with his own mother.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Ibn \u02bfAbb\u0101s (may Allah be pleased with him and his father)<\/em> reported:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cOn the Day of Resurrection, the one who consumed rib\u0101 will be told: \u2018Take up your weapons for war.\u2019\u201d<\/em>
(Reported by al-\u1e6cabar\u012b, with an authentic chain)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Ibn al-Qayyim said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cNo major sin has received a threat comparable to this. Rib\u0101 is among the gravest of major sins.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Ash-Shawk\u0101n\u012b said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cThe sin of rib\u0101 is of extreme repulsiveness, exceeding all limits of horror.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Seyyidin\u0101 A\u1e25mad Tij\u0101n\u012b (may Allah sanctify his precious secret)<\/em> gave this fundamental counsel:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cAbandon the use of illicit wealth for eating, clothing, and housing, for what is lawful is the axis around which the stars of worship revolve. Whoever seeks the lawful with knowledge and scrupulousness will encounter no difficulty in finding it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In truth, the path to Allah rests upon obedience to Allah and adherence to the noble Sunnah of the Prophet \ufdfa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whoever seeks a pure sustenance walks in light,
whereas whoever approaches the unlawful \u2014 and especially rib\u0101 \u2014 exposes himself to war from the Lord of the worlds and from His Beloved Prophet \ufdfa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let whoever aspires to the Love of Allah purify his heart and hold firmly to the prophetic path,
for all goodness lies in following the Sunnah of the Beloved Muhammad \ufdfa,
as taught by Seyyidin\u0101 A\u1e25mad Tij\u0101n\u012b (may Allah sanctify his precious secret)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2e3b<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O Allah, purify our hearts so that our possessions may be purified as well.
Keep us away from rib\u0101 in all its forms,
open for us the doors of the lawful,
strengthen our hearts in obedience,
and make us walk in the footsteps and in the light
of the Beloved Prophet \ufdfa
and of Seyyidin\u0101 A\u1e25mad Tij\u0101n\u012b (may Allah sanctify his precious secret).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You alone matter, O Allah.
All else has neither value nor importance,
for everything is vain and perishing,
and only Your Majestic Face remains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cEveryone upon it shall perish,
and there will remain the Face of your Lord,
full of Majesty and Generosity.\u201d<\/em>
(Ar-Ra\u1e25m\u0101n, 55:26\u201327)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

And such is our final aim: to turn solely toward You, toward Your Noble Face, by Your Grace and Your Mercy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O Allah, send blessings upon our master Muhammad,
the Opener of what was closed,
the Seal of what came before,
the Helper of the Truth by the Truth,
and the Guide to Your straight path.
And upon his family,
according to his immense worth and the greatness of his rank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
