In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u1e62al\u00e2t al-F\u00e2tihi (translated)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

O Allah, send blessings upon our master Muhammad,
the Opener of what was closed,
the Seal of what came before,
the Helper of the Truth by the Truth,
and the Guide to Your straight path.
And upon his family,
according to his immense worth and the greatness of his rank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Beloved Shaykh A\u1e25mad Tij\u0101n\u012b<\/strong>
\u2014 may Allah sanctify his precious secret<\/em> \u2014
directed hearts toward Allah
and turned his disciples away from the deceptive love of the lower world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He used to say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cLove of the lower world is the cause of the severing of one\u2019s bond with Allah.
That is why I do not love it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

And he also said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cWherever you go in this lower world,
in whatever place you may walk,
the Lovers of Allah will find it bitter,
like the taste of the sea.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

For the heart that loves Allah
finds no sweetness
in anything that distances it from Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Narrative of \u02bf\u012as\u0101 (peace be upon him)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n
The Reality of the Duny\u0101 Unveiled<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

Praise be to Allah,
the One who exists without beginning or end,
without place and without modality;
nothing resembles Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And may peace be upon Muhammad \ufdfa,
the Seal of the Prophets and the light of hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n
The Request for Companionship<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

A man said to our master \u02bf\u012as\u0101 (peace be upon him): \u201cO Prophet of Allah, I wish to walk in your company.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u02bf\u012as\u0101 accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n
The Three Loaves<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

They sat by the bank of a river
with three pieces of bread.
They ate two
and left the third aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When \u02bf\u012as\u0101 returned from the river,
the bread had disappeared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2014 \u201cWhere is the third loaf?\u201d he asked.
\u2014 \u201cI do not know,\u201d the man replied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n
The Miracle of the Gazelle<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

They encountered a gazelle with her young.
\u02bf\u012as\u0101 called one of them,
slaughtered it,
and they ate from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then he said: \u201cRise, by the permission of Allah.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The young gazelle came back to life
and returned to its mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u02bf\u012as\u0101 asked again: \u201cWho took the third loaf?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once more, the man said: \u201cI do not know.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n
Sand Turned into Gold<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

In the desert,
\u02bf\u012as\u0101 took a handful of sand and said: \u201cBecome gold, by the permission of Allah.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sand turned into gold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He divided it into three parts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One for me,
One for you,
One for the one who took the bread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man then confessed: \u201cIt was I who took the bread.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u02bf\u012as\u0101 said: \u201cTake all the gold\u2026 and leave me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n
Three Deaths for Useless Gold<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

Left alone with the gold,
the man saw three bandits approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said to them: \u201cLet us share this gold among us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of them went to buy food.
Satan whispered deceit to him,
and he put poison into the food,
thinking to keep the gold for himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile,
the other two plotted to kill him upon his return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They killed him,
then ate the poisoned food
and died in turn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gold remained there,
useless and abandoned,
amid three corpses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n
The Teaching of \u02bf\u012as\u0101 (peace be upon him)<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

\u02bf\u012as\u0101 passed by with his disciples and said:
\u201cThis is what the lower world is!
Look at what it has done to them.
Beware of the lower world!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The duny\u0101 seduces, then destroys.
It attracts, then misleads.
It promises, then kills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whoever becomes attached to it
loses the life of this world
and the life of the Hereafter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n
Spiritual Conclusion<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

A lie for a loaf of bread,
murder for a piece of gold,
loss for a desire\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such is the action of the lower world
upon heedless hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the Lovers of Allah
find bitter every thing
that distances them from Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that is why the Beloved Shaykh A\u1e25mad Tij\u0101n\u012b
\u2014 may Allah sanctify his precious secret<\/em> \u2014
taught:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
