O Allah, send blessings upon our master Muhammad,
the Opener of what was closed,
the Seal of what came before,
the Helper of the Truth by the Truth,
and the Guide to Your straight path.
And upon his family,
according to his immense worth and the greatness of his rank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A saying of Seyyidin\u0101 Shaykh A\u1e25mad Tij\u0101n\u012b<\/strong>
(may Allah sanctify his precious secret)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cAll goodness lies in following the Sunnah,
and all evil lies in diverging from the Sunnah.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

This statement mirrors the preceding Qur\u2019anic meaning:
goodness, light, and felicity reside in following the Prophet \ufdfa,
distancing oneself from his path gives rise to darkness and loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hadith on Reviving the Sunnah<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

The Messenger of Allah Muhammad<\/strong> \ufdfa said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cWhoever revives one of my traditions truly loves me,
and whoever loves me will be with me in Paradise.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u2014 Reported by at-Tirmidh\u012b and authenticated by leading scholars of Hadith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To revive the Sunnah is to rekindle the light of the Beloved \ufdfa within one\u2019s heart.
It is to prove love through actions,
and it is the sign of a living, pure, and sincere heart.
It is, in truth, to walk in the footsteps of the Beloved Prophet \ufdfa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Sunnah Forgotten by Many Muslims<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

A Sunnah that must be revived within ourselves and around us, by the Grace of Allah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a precious tradition,
simple in form yet immense in its blessings:
to pray two rak\u02bfahs before leaving one\u2019s home,
and two rak\u02bfahs upon returning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Messenger of Allah \ufdfa said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen you wish to leave your home, pray two rak\u02bfahs,
for they will ward off you from all harm outside.
And when you return, pray two rak\u02bfahs,
for they will ward off you from all harm within your home.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u2014 Reported by al-Bazz\u0101r and al-Bayhaq\u012b in Shu\u02bfab al-\u012am\u0101n<\/em>,
and judged \u1e25asan<\/strong> (sound) by leading scholars of Hadith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spiritual Meaning<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

Through this Sunnah, the Prophet \ufdfa teaches us
that the believer never leaves his home
without entrusting his soul to the protective Hands of Allah,
the Most Generous Giver,
and never returns without thanking his Lord with his heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These two prayers are an invisible shield,
a protective light along the steps of the traveler,
and a blessing within the home of the believer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whoever acts in this way lives in the presence of Allah,
and walks under the shade of the Beloved Prophet \ufdfa
and Divine Mercy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the one who neglects prophetic guidance,
let him blame none but himself
if he is afflicted in his own person
or within his home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
