Sidi Muhammad Ibn Ahmed, known as Senussi, may ALLAH be pleased with him

The pious wali Sidi Muhammad ibn Ahmed, also known as Senussi (may ALLAH be pleased with him) was an eminent scholar gifted with great understanding and holder of immense grace. He was among the elite of the elite among the companions of Seyyidina Ahmed Tidjani (may ALLAH sanctify his precious secret).

He was a meritorious Imam and a scholar of pure deeds. As a teacher and lecturer, he used to deliver his sermons beside the tomb of Sidi Mulay Idriss (may ALLAH be pleased with him). Amongst others, he mastered the knowledge of the prophetic hadiths. Sometimes, during his lessons, he would faint; especially when he was teaching the Sahih of Imam Bukhari (may ALLAH be pleased with him). Some people asked him about the reason for these fainting spells and he replied that sometimes, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) attended his teachings and that when he saw him, he fainted.
